Council Update for January 17, 2012
- Robert Pakenham of the law firm Howell Fleming provided a presentation on legal services provided to the Township.
- Mr. Herb Britton requested that the Twin Mountains Snowmobile Club move their trail off of the right of way adjacent to his property. The snowmobile club agreed to his request.
- Council confirmed the purchase of a John Deere excavator.
- Firefighters will receive vehicle extraction training later this month.
- Galway Hall renovations are well underway and are close to budget.
- OSWAP 3 grant funding will be sought for the Buckhorn Lake Estates water system.
- Development Charges will not be increasing in 2012.
- Mileage rate for Council and staff will be decreasing to $0.55/km.
- Council will consider a grant to Crime Stoppers of $200 as part of the 2012 budget.
- Council will be reviewing tourism signage for the Township again at the next meeting.
