Canada Post Rural Route Delivery ALERT

If you are on a RURAL ROUTE (RR) for receiving mail, Canada Post is changing its system over to incorporate 911 numbers/box numbers (civic addressing) as part of your mailing address. This is a Canada Post intiative and has no relationship to the Municipality.

If you are on a Rural Route (RR) mail delivery then please contact our office to ensure we have your correct mailing address. We can not change your private mailing address without your written permission. Canada Post retains the right to NOT deliver your mail if you do not have a complete and accurate mailing address.

We have already encountered problems with ratepayers not receiving their Tax bills due to Canada Post refusing to deliver them. If you have not received your Tax bill and your mailing address is a Rural Route address then please contact the Municipal office immediately.

As a tax payer it is your responsibility to ensure that the Municipality has an accurate up to date mailing address and that your property tax bills payments are kept paid up to date.
