Kawartha Haliburton Victims Services
Kawartha/Haliburton Victim Services is a non-profit, charitable organization that provides immediate onsite and co-ordinated support 24 hours/day, 7 days/week. They work in partnership with Police and Emergency Service agencies providing free, confidential and immediate assistance to victims of crime, trauma and tragic circumstance or disaster throughout the City of Kawartha Lakes and Haliburton County.

Not-for-profit, accredited children's mental health agency. Full range of free and confidential services to children and youth 18 years and under with emotional, social and behavioural problems  and support to their families and caregivers. Problems include: attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, anxiety, depression, behaviour problems at home and school, alcohol/drug abuse, extreme mood swings, aggressive and/or oppositional behavior, destruction of property, cruelty to animals and fire setting. Families  or youth 12 or over make their own referral by calling the intake number.

Community Social Plan

The County of Peterborough, Social Services Division has an Ontario Works Case Manager serving the Municipality of Trent Lakes and the Township of North Kawartha.  The Case Worker is available to meet any residents who have questions about Ontario Works, Ontario Disability Pensions, can make referrals to Community Agencies and answer any inquiries about services or job searches:
