2011 Budget Highlights
The 2011 Township budget was approved and tax rates were set at the May 17th, 2011 Council Meeting. The Township portion of the tax rate decreased in the amount of -1.71% , the overall tax rate (including school and county) was a decrease of 3.31% or $31.96 per $100,000.00 of assessment.
In 2010 on $100,000.00 of assessment you would pay $963.14. In 2011 the amount will be $931.18.
The chart and table below represents where your tax dollars are allocated and the tax rates both past and present. If you have any questions regarding the Budget please contact the Finance Department.

Public Sector Accounting Board (PSAB)
The Public Sector Accounting Board is introducing changes to the way municipalities do their accounting starting January 1st, 2009. All assets of the municipality must be valued (at the date of acquisition). The budget process will also change in 2009.
