The Township of Galway Cavendish and Harvey is committed to working with the business community to aid in developing economic strategies that will contribute to a positive environment for new businesses, expanding businesses, business relocations and investor tours.
Council passed By-law B2007-19, at their meeting on February 6, 2007 to establish an Economic Development and Business Retention and Expansion Advisory Committee. The Township then advertised in local newspapers for applications for the five voluntary citizen positions on the Committee.

The Buckhorn Farmers and Craft Market runs every Tuesday, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
New this year the Buckhorn Farmers and Craft Market has moved to the Buckhorn Community Centre Parking Lot and Building.

The Buckhorn Market made CHEX TV Newswatch
NewsWatch at 6, CHEX TV, came out and did a story on the Buckhorn Market now held every Tuesday from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Cody Inn Restaurant, 1966 Lakehurst Road, Buckhorn. The story aired on July 16, 2007 at 6:00 p.m.
Vendors at the Market contribute funds to the Buckhorn Regional Medical Centre goal.
Please come out and visit the Market and support the Buckhorn Regional Medical Centre. Parking is kindly provided at St. Matthews Church. Boats can be moored right across the street at the Buckhorn lock and this year a Bus Shuttle Service has been introduced from 10 local area resorts and campgrounds.
